Role Description This is a full-time, on-site Professional Land Surveyor role based in Lusaka. The Professional Land Surveyor will conduct land and topographic surveys, collect and analyze spatial data, and prepare accurate survey plans and reports. Daily tasks include operating surveying instruments such as total stations, setting out and verifying building and construction layouts, and ensuring measurements meet regulatory and project standards. The role involves collaborating with engineers, architects, and project managers, verifying boundary lines, and maintaining detailed survey records. The Professional Land Surveyor will also ensure all work complies with relevant legal, safety, and quality requirements.
Qualifications
- Candidates should possess strong skills in Land Surveying and Surveying for boundary, construction, and infrastructure projects.
- Candidates should possess strong skills in Topographic Surveys for mapping terrain, elevations, and site features.
- Candidates should possess strong skills in operating Total Station and related surveying instruments for precise measurements.
- Candidates should possess strong skills in Building Surveying for site set-out, verification of structures, and construction monitoring.
- Relevant diploma or degree in Land Surveying, Geomatics, Civil Engineering, or a related field.
- Professional registration or eligibility for registration as a Land Surveyor with relevant authorities is an added advantage.
- Proficiency in survey software and CAD tools, with strong attention to detail and numerical accuracy.
- Ability to interpret technical drawings, work on-site in varying conditions, and collaborate effectively with multidisciplinary teams.
- Strong communication, problem-solving, and organizational skills, with a commitment to safety and ethical professional practice.
