Purpose of the position: As Production Supervisor, Supervise site activities such as commissioning, start-up, and operation. Ensure that all activities under their responsibility comply with established process and HSE requirements, while adhering to scheduled timelines. Oversee operations activities including: Operation procedures preparation; QA/QC certification; Fire Fighting System usage; HSE system usage; Integrated Control System usage in the relevant field. Supervise maintenance and inspection activities and ensure spare parts reliability for safe operations. Guarantee safe and efficient commissioning, start-up, and operation of process facilities. Maintain high standards, work in shifts, and be available on call 24 hours. Liaise with vendors and subcontractors when onboard.
How can you support us? Here below your responsibilities:
- Direct and coordinate activities of Control Room Operators (CROs), Production Operators, and the Laboratory Technician.
- Monitor and control all process equipment from the Central Control Room (CCR) and in the field.
- Ensure that all production activities comply with company and client operating procedures, safety standards, and permit-to-work requirements.
- Oversee daily production plant housekeeping and preservation of process areas.
- Identify operational bottlenecks, deficiencies, and non-conformities, and propose corrective actions to the Production Superintendent.
- Discuss technical issues, spare part requirements, and maintenance planning with the Production Superintendent and Maintenance Department.
What are we looking for?
Education: Diploma or degree in Process Engineering, Chemical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or related discipline..
Experience: 5–7 years in natural gas processing, petrochemical, or LNG operations, including at least 2 years in a supervisory or control room role..
Languages: Portuguese and Professional English.
Technical Skills: Strong technical ability to develop, implement, contribute to troubleshooting, root cause analysis, and process optimization initiatives.
IT Skills: Microsoft tools
What else should you know? All applicants must reside in Angola and possess a valid residence card, as Saipem is unable to offer sponsorships.
