SUMMARY:
Bilnor Staffing Solutions' Client in the Mining Sector is seeking an experienced Production Manager with strong underground mining experience and a valid Mine Manager’s Certificate of Competency to join their team in Brits North West.
**South African Citizens and those living in the area will be preferred**
Minimum Requirements
- Grade 12 / Matric
- Mine Manager’s Certificate of Competency (Essential)
- Minimum 5–8 years’ experience in underground mining production
- At least 3 years in a supervisory/management role
- Strong knowledge of underground mining methods and processes
- Proven leadership and team management skills
- Sound understanding of health and safety legislation
POSITION INFO:
Key Responsibilities
- Oversee and manage all underground production activities
- Ensure production targets are achieved safely and efficiently
- Implement and enforce health, safety, and environmental standards
- Lead and supervise underground teams including Shift Bosses and Supervisors
- Monitor operational performance and implement continuous improvement initiatives
- Ensure compliance with mining regulations and company policies
- Coordinate with engineering, maintenance, and planning teams
- Manage production budgets and control costs
- Conduct regular inspections and risk assessments
- Report on production performance to senior management
