Responsibilities

What we’re looking for:

Manages the various production activities of one manufacturing unit or factory through subordinate Supervisors and Process Controllers in order to achieve planned production targets and to ensure the effective use of available resources. Reports to Unit Manager

Accountabilities:

  • Managed and controlled product quality assurance
  • Controlled production processes and optimised raw material stock levels, pack material, consumables etc
  • Optimised people, plant, machinery and equipment, ie, Process Feeding, Binders, Fawema, Italpac, FFS, Palletizing incl Robot, Pallet Wrappers
  • Ensured safety, health & hygiene
  • Approved and managed capital projects and managed team
  • Manage maintenance schedules in co-operation with Maintenance Dept
  • Provide status reports to direct manager
  • Supervise and motivate all production workers
  • Continually ensure that an effective set of KPIs are in place and monitored that identify the key aspects of operations and drive improvement focus

    • Qualifications

    Experience:

  • Two to Four years relevant experience within the manufacturing environment in Extrusion process
  • Degree and/or Diploma in Production Management or similar qualification
  • Must have experience in, Technical Operating Principles of Binder, Fawema, Itelpack, FFS, Palletizer, Robot Palletizer, Conveying Systems (screw, chain conveyors, Elevators and slides, dust collection systems, etc
  • Team Player
  • Ability to manage a team
  • Business planning skills
  • Computer skills including SAP and MS Office
  • Project management skills
  • Excellent people management skills – Productivity, Descipline, Coaching and Development, Lead by Good example
