We are looking for a Production Layout Designer to join our team and assist with the preparation of production-ready artwork for banners, signage, branded clothing, corporate gifts and other promotional products. There is a strong potential for a full time job.
This is not a general graphic design role. We are specifically looking for someone with practical experience in production layouts for print and branded products. Applicants with only social media, marketing or general design experience (Canva) will not be considered.
The right candidate must be able to work accurately, follow briefs properly, prepare artwork for production, and liaise with the sales team to ensure jobs are set up correctly before going into print or production.
Key responsibilities
- Prepare production-ready artwork and layouts for banners, signage, branded clothing, corporate gifts and promotional items
- Set up artwork to the correct sizes and specifications for print and production
- Check artwork carefully for layout, sizing, spelling, branding and placement
- Amend artwork according to client feedback and internal instructions
- Work closely with the sales team to ensure layouts are correct and approved
- Prepare artwork for suppliers and production teams in the required formats
- Manage multiple jobs at once while meeting deadlines
- Ensure all final artwork is accurate, practical and ready for production
Requirements
- Previous experience in production layout design for banners, signage, printing, branded clothing, corporate gifts or promotional products
- Strong working knowledge of CorelDRAW
- Good understanding of artwork setup, sizing, bleed, resolution and print-ready file preparation
- Able to follow instructions carefully and work accurately under pressure
- Strong attention to detail
- Able to work in a fast-paced office environment
- Reliable, practical and hands-on
Advantageous
- Experience with large-format print layouts
- Experience preparing artwork for branded merchandise and clothing
- Adobe Illustrator or other relevant design software experience
- Experience working with a sales team in a print or branding environment
