Job Purpose/General Summary:
The Production Aide is responsible for the duties and tasks related to laundry production and administrative tasks as described. The Production Aide will perform and assist in all areas related to the processing of laundry and floor mat contracts.
Schedule: 5:00am-12:00pm, Monday-Friday
Specific Responsibilities:
1. Perform and assist in all production tasks and duties.
2. Assist with pickups/deliveries when requested by Facilities Operation Manager.
3. Assist Trainers when requested in providing guidance to individuals participating in Small Group Supported Employment Enclaves on proper procedures for laundry production tasks.
4. Perform and provide assistance to Facilities Operations Manager as requested or required.
5. Perform janitorial and production duties as directed.
6. Clean, sweep, remove debris and maintain clean production areas to include all machines.
Duties of Position: Production
1. Perform and assist in all areas of linen production to include sorting of soiled linens, loading/unloading of washers and dryers and folding and packaging of clean linens.
2. Independently operate washer/extractors in accordance with established procedures. (NOTE: No Individual under 18 years of age will operate any washer/extractor)
3. Independently operate dryers in accordance with established procedures.
4. Assist or perform in-house custodial duties in the production areas.
5. Work alongside Supported Employment Enclaves and their Trainers on sorting of linens, loading or unloading of washers and dryers and on folding and packaging of linens.
6. Ensure compliance to established Quality Control Standards in production of laundry.
7. Ensure compliance to all organizational safety programs, policies, and procedures.
Duties of Position: General
1. Attend all scheduled meetings and training classes as requested or directed.
2. Report adverse client behaviors to Facilities Operations Manager who will relay concerns to Director of Employment Services.
3. Report all incidents or accidents involving Supported Employment Enclave members to the Facilities Operations Manager who will relay report to Director of Employment Services.
4. Report all incidents or accidents involving Production or other facility personnel to the Facilities Operations Manager for production related concerns within 24 hours.
5. Comply with all organizational policies, procedures, rules, and regulations.
6. Comply with all governmental policies, procedures, rules, and regulations.

Employment Requirements:
A. Education: High School Diploma or General Equivalency Diploma (GED), or active enrollment in pursuit of High School Diploma or GED or commensurate work experience.

C. Other certifications, licenses, or skills: Ability to read, write and understand the English language sufficient to communicate with other staff and the public or with accommodations. Ability to compare, compile, analyze, coordinate, and synthesize data and information.
D. Relations to others: Ability to supervise, communicate, and instruct subordinates. Must possess good interpersonal skills. Must be able to act independently and determine and implement methods of operation to maintain production schedules.
E. Physical Demands (Strength): Exert in excess of 100 lbs of force occasionally, and/or up to 50 lbs of force frequently, and/or up to 40 lbs of force constantly to move objects and carts.
F. Physical Demands (Movement): Standing, walking, sitting, stooping, kneeling, reaching, fingering and handling, or with accommodations.
G. Physical Demand (Auditory & Visual): Talking, hearing, and sight sufficient to communicate with staff, clients, and public, or with accommodations. Must be able to tolerate noisy environment or with accommodations.
H. Environmental Conditions: Ability to tolerate seasonal weather changes. Must be able to work in hot and humid or cold and dry environment. Ability to work in a training environment.
I. Equipment Used: telephones/intercom systems, computers, printers, faxes and laundry production equipment to include commercial washers, dryers, floor cleaners, wheeled laundry carts, and non-motorized equipment used in production of laundry.

Confidentiality & Background: Must not have been convicted of abuse, molestation, violent acts, assaults or serious crimes. Must adhere to the confidentiality policies of LSTC and HIPAA.
Pay: $11.00 – $12.25 per hour
