Our current apps include:
- Orion Insights — equity research and investment analysis
- Hermes X — market monitoring and alerts
- Luca Accounts — AI accountant and bookkeeper
- Freddie HR — recruitment and HR workflow assistant
- Saras Reports — automated business report generation
We are looking for a Product Manager who can help us turn powerful AI models into simple, reliable, and commercially usable software products.
This is not a traditional project coordination role. We need someone with strong product judgment, good UX taste, and the discipline to test software deeply before it reaches users.
Role Overview
As Product Manager — AI Work Apps, you will own product quality, user experience, and release readiness across our AI apps.
You will work closely with the founder, engineers, designers, and operations team to ensure each app is not only technically working, but also intuitive, useful, and trusted by real users.
Your role is to act as the first serious user of the product: testing flows, identifying friction, improving UX, writing product requirements, and ensuring our AI outputs meet a professional standard.
Key Responsibilities1. Own Product Quality Across AI Work Apps
- Test all major product flows before release
- Identify UX gaps, unclear user journeys, broken logic, and weak output quality
- Maintain product quality checklists for each app
- Decide whether features are ready for production release
- Ensure product experience feels polished, professional, and commercially usable
2. Test AI Model Outputs
- Design practical test prompts and user scenarios
- Review AI outputs for usefulness, structure, accuracy, formatting, and consistency
- Identify hallucination risks, poor reasoning, unclear outputs, and weak user value
- Build benchmark examples for each app
- Work with engineers and AI model developers to improve response quality
3. Own User Flows and UX Review
- Review onboarding, free-tier usage, dashboard flows, report generation, upgrade/payment flows, and error states
- Ensure users understand what each app does within seconds
- Improve empty states, tooltips, help text, prompts, CTAs, and confirmation pages
- Test both desktop and mobile experiences
- Make sure users can complete workflows without founder or support team intervention
4. Write Clear Product Requirements
- Translate founder vision and user needs into clear product specifications
- Write user stories, acceptance criteria, edge cases, and priority levels
- Prepare tickets that engineers can execute without ambiguity
- Balance speed, quality, and product simplicity
5. Coordinate With Engineering and Design
- Work directly with engineers to clarify requirements and verify fixes
- Review implementation against product intent
- Prioritize bugs, UX improvements, and model quality issues
- Push for product polish, not just feature completion
6. Act as the Voice of the User
- Test as an investor, accountant, HR manager, business owner, and public/free-tier user
- Identify where users may get confused, lose trust, or abandon the product
- Recommend improvements that increase activation, retention, and conversion
- Help make AI Work feel like a serious professional software platform
What We Are Looking ForRequired
- 3+ years of product management, product operations, UX/product QA, or software product experience
- Strong understanding of what good software feels like
- Excellent attention to detail
- Ability to test products deeply and systematically
- Clear writing and communication skills
- Ability to work with engineers and turn feedback into actionable tickets
- Strong sense of user flow, onboarding, and product usability
- Comfort working in a fast-moving startup environment
- Interest in AI products and workflow automation
Strongly Preferred
- Experience with SaaS products, dashboards, workflow tools, or B2B software
- Experience testing AI products, LLM outputs, or automation workflows
- Background in finance, accounting, HR, research, or professional services software
- Experience working with early-stage products where processes are still being built
- Ability to write concise product specs, test cases, and release notes
Ideal Candidate Profile
You are practical, detail-oriented, and product-minded.
You enjoy testing software, finding gaps, and improving user experience. You do not need a large team or perfect process to be effective. You can work from a rough founder idea, organize it into clear requirements, test the implementation, and push the product toward a higher standard.
You understand that in AI software, the product is not just the UI. The product includes the prompt, output quality, flow logic, error handling, user trust, and commercial usefulness.
