Qualifications & Experience

  • Minimum 5 years' experience at a partner or distributor of relevant vendor goods and services.
  • Relevant vendor certifications, obtained within the last three years.
  • Proven track record in team building, mentoring, and cross-functional collaboration.
  • Strong commercial acumen with experience owning P&L or revenue targets.
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.

Huawei, Dell, Avaya, HPE Networking, Hitachi Vantara, HPE, NetApp, Super Micro, OpenText, Microsoft

Key Responsibilities

Revenue & Financial Performance

  • Deliver revenue growth that outpaces the market by capturing share from competitors.
  • Achieve agreed gross margin and profitability targets to support positive cash generation.
  • Own annual business planning and oversee the corresponding budgets.
  • Conduct quarterly financial reviews with the Finance & Administration Manager to ensure budget adherence.
  • Establish local channel terms and conditions aligned with Group financial guidelines.

Vendor & Partner Management

  • Serve as the single point of contact between Hiperdist and the assigned vendor.
  • Honour all vendor commitments to ensure contractual continuity.
  • Maintain a yearly calendar of planning sessions, business reviews, and sales calls.
  • Conduct quarterly partner landscape reviews and act on findings.
  • Drive partner activities that build capacity, capabilities, and long-term loyalty.
  • Support and participate in vendor-led events and activities.

Sales & Operations

  • Lead robust sales management and forecasting processes for predictable revenue and cash flow.
  • Deliver weekly, bi-monthly, and monthly sales forecasts with a focus on accuracy.
  • Master end-to-end inventory management to minimise aging and support predictable sales.
  • Maintain inventory within Group parameters.
  • Implement a continuous resource review system to ensure optimal market readiness.

Strategy & Leadership

  • Build, manage, and develop a team capable of delivering on company objectives.
  • Deliver high-quality execution of agreed strategies and plans.
  • Provide quarterly management feedback on market, partner, category, and vendor dynamics.
  • Champion Group standard policies and procedures across the business unit.
  • Drive marketing activities that generate leads and build brand awareness.
  • Expand and maintain the business unit's database and digital/social presence.
  • Mentor and invest in the professional development of team members.

  • Vendor Milestones Achievement of all agreed vendor targets and commitments.
  • Revenue Total business unit revenue against plan.
  • Business Rebates Rebates achieved against entitlement.
  • Gross Profit Margin performance against budget.
  • DSO Days Sales Outstanding — cash collection efficiency.
  • DSI Days Sales Inventory — inventory management efficiency.
