Job Summary
The Product Manager is responsible for owning the product end-to-end, from idea to delivery and continuous improvement, within a startup Logistics Technology platform.
This role combines product management, project execution, and design ownership. It requires someone who can:
- translate high-level direction into structured requirements
- drive execution with engineering
- ensure a high standard of product quality, usability, and engagement
The Product Manager is expected to operate with strong ownership, ensuring the product is:
- intuitive and modern
- technically reliable and scalable
- continuously improving based on data and user feedback
KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES & ACTIVITIES
1. Product Definition & Requirements
- Gather and structure requirements from leadership and stakeholders
- Translate requirements into:
- clear user stories
- defined acceptance criteria
- Ensure engineering teams receive unambiguous, actionable specifications
2. Product Execution & Project Management
- Manage product initiatives from concept to release
- Define timelines, milestones, and deliverables
- Track progress and ensure on-time delivery
- Identify and resolve bottlenecks proactively
3. Agile & Delivery Discipline
- Lead and manage Scrum processes
- Ensure proper use of agile frameworks across teams
- Maintain clear coordination between:
- Engineering
- Financial / Analytics
- Marketing
- Ensure structured collaboration and accountability
4. UX, Design & Product Quality
- Drive a high standard of product design and user experience
- Ensure the platform is:
- intuitive
- modern
- user-friendly
- Supervise and guide UI/UX designers
- Provide clear direction to ensure consistency and quality
5. Engagement & Gamification
- Identify opportunities to improve:
- user engagement
- retention
- feature adoption
- Incorporate gamification and behavioral design elements where relevant
- Ensure the product encourages repeated usage and interaction
6. Product Strategy & Innovation
- Contribute to product strategy and feature direction
- Continuously propose improvements and new ideas
- Avoid feature clutter — focus on meaningful, high-impact enhancements
7. Data-Driven Product Development
- Use data to guide product decisions
- Conduct A/B testing to validate features and improvements
- Monitor key metrics and iterate based on results
8. Competitive Research
- Analyze competitors in terms of:
- features
- design
- user experience
- Identify gaps and opportunities for differentiation
9. Performance, Stability & Scalability
- Ensure product performance is smooth and reliable
- Work with engineering to maintain:
- system stability
- scalability as usage grows
- Maintain high standards for performance and responsiveness
