Role Description This is a full-time, on-site Procurement Officer role based in Lagos. The Procurement Officer will manage the end-to-end purchasing process for equipment, materials, and services required for HVAC, water treatment, fire fighting, power, and related engineering projects. Daily responsibilities include sourcing and evaluating suppliers, obtaining and comparing quotations, preparing and processing purchase orders, and ensuring timely delivery to project sites. The role involves supporting contract negotiation, monitoring supplier performance, maintaining accurate procurement records, and collaborating closely with project, engineering, and finance teams to align purchases with project timelines and budgets. The Procurement Officer will also track inventory levels, identify cost-saving opportunities, and ensure compliance with company policies and relevant regulations.
Qualifications

  • Strong foundation in Procurement and Purchasing, with experience managing end-to-end sourcing processes.
  • Ability to prepare, review, and manage Purchase Orders, ensuring accuracy, completeness, and timely processing.
  • Experience in Contract Negotiation, including evaluating terms, pricing, and supplier service levels.
  • Demonstrated Analytical Skills for evaluating quotations, conducting cost comparisons, and monitoring spend.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
  • Familiarity with procurement software, ERP systems, and Microsoft Office tools (especially Excel and Word).
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with internal teams and external vendors.
  • Organized, detail-oriented, and able to manage multiple procurement requests and deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
  • Experience in construction, MEP, or building services engineering procurement is an advantage.
  • Professional certifications in supply chain or procurement (e.g., CIPS, CPSM, or equivalent) are a plus.
