Company Description Our client, a leading logistics company, is seeking a highly organized and experienced Procurement Officer to oversee procurement activities, supplier management, inventory control, and spare parts sourcing to support efficient business operations.

 

In this role, you will be responsible for sourcing and procuring goods and services, managing supplier relationships, ensuring timely availability of materials and spare parts, monitoring stock levels, and maintaining cost-effective procurement processes while supporting operational efficiency across the organization.

 

Role Description The Procurement Officer will be responsible for managing the end-to-end procurement process, including sourcing, evaluating, and negotiating with suppliers to secure quality goods and services at competitive prices. The role involves procuring spare parts, equipment, and operational supplies, while maintaining strong relationships with suppliers and service providers to ensure reliable service delivery. The Procurement Officer will monitor inventory levels, coordinate stock replenishment, and ensure the timely delivery of procured items to prevent operational disruptions. Key responsibilities include preparing purchase orders, procurement contracts, and supplier agreements, conducting market research to identify new suppliers and cost-saving opportunities, and maintaining accurate procurement, inventory, and supplier records. The role also requires close collaboration with warehouse, maintenance, and operations teams to forecast procurement requirements, monitor supplier performance, and support continuous improvement initiatives. Additionally, the Procurement Officer will ensure compliance with company procurement policies and procedures, prepare procurement reports, and provide regular updates and recommendations to management.

Qualifications

·        Bachelor’s Degree in Procurement & Supply Chain Management, Logistics, Business Administration, or a related field.

·        Minimum 3 years of experience in procurement within manufacturing, logistics, stock management, and spare parts procurement.

·        Strong understanding of procurement processes, inventory control, and stock management practices.

·        Experience sourcing mechanical, automotive, industrial, or operational spare parts.

·        Excellent negotiation, supplier management, and relationship-building skills.

·        Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving abilities.

·        Proficiency in ERP systems and Microsoft Office applications.

 ·       Ability to manage multiple priorities and work under pressure.

·        High level of integrity, attention to detail, and professionalism.

·        Knowledge of supply chain best practices and inventory optimization techniques.

·        Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team environment.

·        Strong communication and reporting skills.

·  Experience in the logistics industry will be an added advantage.
