Key Responsibilities
- Develop and implement the company's procurement strategy in alignment with business objectives.
- Lead and manage all procurement activities, including local and international sourcing.
- Ensure the timely procurement of paperboard, paper, raw materials, inks, chemicals, spare parts, machinery, MRO items, packaging materials, services, and all indirect purchases.
- Build and maintain strategic relationships with local and international suppliers.
- Negotiate commercial terms, pricing, payment conditions, contracts, and delivery schedules to maximize value.
- Identify and qualify new suppliers while maintaining an approved supplier base.
- Monitor global and local market trends, raw material prices, and supply risks.
- Develop sourcing strategies to reduce dependency on single-source suppliers.
- Ensure uninterrupted material availability to support production plans and customer commitments.
- Collaborate closely with Production, Planning, Warehousing, Quality, Engineering, Finance, and Supply Chain teams.
- Lead supplier performance evaluation and continuous supplier development initiatives.
- Drive cost reduction and value engineering projects without compromising quality or service.
- Ensure compliance with company procurement policies, governance standards, and applicable ISO requirements.
- Prepare procurement budgets, forecasts, and management reports.
- Establish, monitor, and improve procurement KPIs.
- Lead, coach, and develop the procurement team to achieve departmental objectives.
- Promote continuous improvement and digitalization of procurement processes through ERP systems and best practices.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Business Administration, Supply Chain Management or a related field.
- Professional certification such as CIPS, CPSM, CSCP, or APICS is highly preferred.
- MBA is considered an advantage.
- Minimum 10–15 years of procurement experience in a manufacturing environment.
- At least 5 years in a Procurement Manager or Senior Procurement leadership role.
- Experience in packaging, printing, paper, pharmaceuticals, FMCG, or manufacturing industries is highly preferred.
- Strong experience in both local procurement and international sourcing.
- Proven track record in strategic sourcing, supplier negotiations, and cost reduction initiatives.
- Strong strategic procurement , strategic sourcing , supplier relationship management (SRM) , negotiation, cost analysis & cost optimization skills
- Strong Microsoft Excel and ERP Systems user
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Strong Leadership and people management skills
- Excellent communication and presentation skills
