Nordic Distribution Tz Ltd. is looking to hire a Procurement/Logistics Assistant for our office in Regent Estate, Dar es Salaam.
Working hours:
- Monday-Friday 8:30 to 17:30
- Saturday 8:30 to 13:00
Job tasks:
- Enter all local and import purchases into purchase orders in our ERP system (Microsoft Dynamics 365 Business Central). This is your primary work and you must expect a lot of your time will be spent on the recording of data into our ERP system.
- Keep track of tax payments on importations and type these costs into purchase orders in ERP software.
- Monitor, reconcile and record all payments of freight and freight-related costs into ERP system.
- Communicate directly with freight forwarders, shipping departments of foreign suppliers and customs clearance agents.
- Handle documentation for all international shipments by Sea and Air cargo. E.g. ensuring all shipping documents required by law will be in place prior to cargo arriving in port of destination.
- Submit documents to clearing agents for the processing of customs clearance.
- Keep track of clearance status of foreign purchases and update this in our system.
- We may later on task applicant to assist in the documentation preparation/handling of customs clearance of international imports.
- Assist in other shipping/logistics/documentation related tasks as need be.
What we expect from you:
- You have attention to details and good math skills.
- You are fluent in English, both written and spoken, you will be reporting directly to our European director.
- You have good experience with using computer every day, e.g. skilled in excel, outlook etc.
- You have a B.Sc in procurement, logistics, administration or other related field.
- You are a Tanzanian citizen (this position is not open to foreigners)
- You are available for a job interview in Dar es Salaam.
Salary package will be determined according to skillset and experience of applicants.
