Role Description This is a full-time, on-site Procurement Engineer / Mechanical role based in Heliopolis. The Procurement Engineer will manage the end-to-end procurement cycle for mechanical materials, equipment, and services, ensuring compliance with project specifications, budgets, and schedules. Daily tasks include preparing and issuing requests for quotation (RFQs), analyzing supplier offers, negotiating commercial terms, and preparing purchase orders in coordination with project and engineering teams. The role involves evaluating and updating the approved vendor list, coordinating with suppliers for on-time delivery, and resolving any discrepancies in quantity, quality, or documentation. The Procurement Engineer will collaborate closely with planning, site, and finance teams to maintain accurate procurement records, monitor material usage, and support cost optimization across ongoing projects.
Qualifications

  • Proficiency in supplier-related activities, including Supplier Evaluation and management of an approved vendor list.
  • Strong experience in procurement operations, including preparing Requests for Quotation (RFQ) and issuing Purchase Orders.
  • Demonstrated Analytical Skills for comparing technical and commercial offers, cost analysis, and value engineering.
  • Effective Communication skills for coordination with internal stakeholders, vendors, and site teams.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related engineering discipline.
  • Previous experience in construction, fit-out, or MEP procurement is highly preferred.
  • Familiarity with construction contracts, procurement policies, and basic commercial terms (Incoterms, payment terms, warranties).
  • Proficiency in MS Office; experience with ERP or procurement software is an advantage.
  • Ability to work on-site in Heliopolis, manage multiple deadlines, and maintain high attention to detail.
