Procurement & Creditors Officer
Pinetown, Durban | Full-time | Office-based | R16,000 – R21,000 per month (depending on experience)
This is the first dedicated procurement, stock and creditors role in our business — and we’ve never had a proper inventory system. You would be building it from the ground up. We’re a specialist electronics repair company, and this role owns everything we buy, every supplier we pay, and the stock and costing behind every job. We’re looking for an experienced self-starter who can design the system and run it.
What you’ll build
- Roll out our first proper inventory system from scratch
- Set up bills of materials (BOMs) so every job is costed accurately
- Establish stock levels, reorder points and replenishment ordering
What you’ll own
- The full creditors function — all supplier invoices, statements and payments
- All purchasing and receipting, from workshop parts and consumables right through to company assets
- Allocating every purchase and invoice to the correct account
- Reconciling supplier statements and resolving discrepancies
- Building and maintaining strong supplier relationships
What we’re looking for
- At least 3 years’ hands-on experience in creditors / accounts payable and procurement
- Proven ability to set up or implement an inventory or stock system — not just operate one
- Comfortable with BOMs, job costing and allocating costs to accounts
- Reconciles and resolves discrepancies independently, without being chased
- Experience on accounting/ERP systems (Sage and Odoo an advantage)
- A self-starter who can bring structure where none exists today
This role is critical to our cash flow, stock control and supplier efficiency.
