Job Advert Summary
The successful incumbent will be responsible to clean walkways, conveyors, plant floors and plant areas as well as cleaning of toilets, change rooms and eating facilities. Monitoring and operating sump pumps to prevent flooding in the Slaker Plant. The incumbent will also be responsible for washing of constant boxes, assisting in taking scale tests and operating valves and to prevent spillages.
Minimum Requirements
- Grade 12.
- Basic understanding of the water treatment process.
- Safety Training
Primary Duties
- Checking for overloading of conveyors and report to Operator
- Cleaning of spillages from conveyors using brooms, spades and wheelbarrows
- Monitor and operate sump pumps
- Assist in taking scale tests and filling of slaker bunkers
- General housekeeping duties
