About Us

Syntaxia builds data-driven solutions that help companies turn complex information into clear commercial decisions. Our team works across data, analytics, and AI to create practical systems that customers can understand, trust, and use. With roots in the United States, we are building a distributed team focused on precise, efficient, and high-impact work.

Role Overview

We are looking for a Pricing Science Lead to own the end-to-end delivery of data-driven pricing optimization solutions. You will lead assigned workstreams across customer engagements, from initial data exploration through implementation, launch, and post-launch support. Working closely with Pricing Science Advisors and other technical specialists, you will translate complex datasets, analytical models, and customer requirements into clear pricing guidance and usable solutions. This role combines analytical depth, commercial judgment, and direct customer interaction. It suits someone who can work independently, explain technical concepts clearly, and turn analysis into measurable business outcomes.

Key Responsibilities

  • Own pricing science workstreams: Manage assigned tasks across customer projects, from initial data exploration through go-live and hypercare.
  • Participate in customer workshops: Work alongside Pricing Science Advisors and Solution Architects to understand customer needs and translate workshop outcomes into concrete analytical and configuration tasks.
  • Build pricing science solutions: Design, configure, and validate solutions for use cases such as list-price optimization, negotiation guidance, price guidance, and bring-your-own-science models.
  • Explore and prepare data: Conduct exploratory analysis to understand distributions, outliers, data-quality issues, and the factors that should inform segmentation, feature selection, and model design.
  • Develop models and segmentation: Define and implement segmentation rules, features, model structures, business rules, and objective functions within established solution designs.
  • Turn analysis into guidance: Assess historical performance, identify pricing opportunities, and prepare dashboards, result views, and materials for customer-facing sessions.
  • Refine solutions through feedback: Adjust model parameters and business rules based on customer input, balancing financial impact, risk, usability, and operational constraints.
  • Document and hand over solutions: Record assumptions, design decisions, operating guidelines, and handover materials so that each solution remains understandable and maintainable after launch.
  • Support pre-sales activities: Contribute to data exploration, prototype analysis, demonstrations, and proof-of-concept materials when pricing science expertise is required.
  • Share knowledge: Feed project learnings into internal training, reusable accelerators, delivery practices, and product roadmaps.

What We’re Looking For

  • Quantitative expertise: A master’s degree in a quantitative field such as computer science, statistics, applied mathematics, engineering, or economics. Equivalent practical experience will also be considered.
  • Applied analytical experience: At least four years of hands-on experience in data analytics, data science, applied statistics, or a related field, including ownership of end-to-end analytical solutions.
  • Pricing domain knowledge: At least two years of experience in B2B pricing, revenue management, commercial analytics, or a closely related area.
  • Programming and data skills: Strong practical experience with Python or a comparable language for data analysis and modeling, together with solid SQL skills.
  • Modeling experience: Knowledge of statistical and machine-learning methods relevant to pricing, including regression, classification, segmentation, and constrained optimization.
  • Solution implementation: Experience implementing pricing or optimization solutions through a commercial pricing platform, analytical product, or comparable SaaS environment.
  • Data preparation: The ability to understand complex data structures and collaborate with technical teams to create reliable data-preparation pipelines.
  • Commercial communication: A strong record of explaining complex analytical findings in clear terms to business audiences.
  • Customer-facing ability: Experience facilitating workshops, gathering requirements, presenting results, and making practical recommendations.
  • English proficiency: Fluent written and spoken English.

What Will Help You Succeed

You are likely to thrive in this role when you are:

  • Comfortable owning complex work with limited oversight.
  • Careful with assumptions, data quality, and analytical detail.
  • Able to connect technical outputs with commercial decisions.
  • Confident working directly with customers and cross-functional teams.
  • Curious, pragmatic, and focused on building solutions customers can maintain.
  • Adaptable when priorities, requirements, or project conditions change.

Nice-to-Haves

  • Experience working in cross-functional project teams alongside Solution Architects, Configuration Engineers, Business Analysts, and Project Managers.
  • Experience delivering analytical solutions in a startup, consulting, or high-growth environment.
  • Familiarity with enterprise SaaS platforms and customer implementation projects.
  • A portfolio or examples of pricing, optimization, segmentation, or commercial analytics work.

Why Syntaxia

  • Meaningful ownership: Take responsibility for analytical solutions from early exploration through customer adoption.
  • Direct business impact: Help customers make better pricing decisions and turn analytical work into measurable commercial outcomes.
  • Cross-functional exposure: Work at the intersection of data science, pricing strategy, software, and customer success.
  • Global collaboration: Join a distributed team with roots in the United States and a growing presence in Tunisia.
  • Flexible work: Work remotely while collaborating closely with an international team.
