Preschool Security Guard & Maintenance Officer Jobs in Northcliff at Little Elite Kids Preschool
We are looking for a reliable, vigilant, and hands-on security Guard & Maintenance Officer to join our preschool team. This role is responsible for maintaining a safe and secure environment for children, staff, and visitors while also overseeing the basic upkeep of the school property, playground, and garden areas.
Key Responsibilities – Security Duties
- Control access to the preschool premises.
- Verify and monitor the entry and exit of parents, visitors, contractors, and delivery personnel.
- Maintain accurate visitor sign-in and sign-out records.
- Prevent unauthorized access to the property.
- Assist in ensuring compliance with school safety procedures and emergency protocols.
- Deter suspicious behavior and respond appropriately to security concerns.
Maintenance Duties
- Perform basic maintenance and minor repairs around the property.
- Inspect and maintain playground equipment to ensure it remains safe and functional.
- Maintain the cleanliness and general appearance of outdoor areas.
- Care for garden and landscaped areas, including watering, weeding, and basic upkeep.
- Identify and report maintenance issues requiring specialized repairs.
- Assist with setting up and maintaining outdoor facilities and equipment.
Requirements
- Previous security experience preferred.
- Basic maintenance, handyman or facilities experience.
- Physically fit and able to perform patrol and maintenance duties.
- Strong communication and observation skills.
- Professional, trustworthy, and dependable.
- Ability to work independently and take initiative.
- Must have a clean criminal record and provide official proof of clearance/background screening.
- Experience working in a school or childcare environment will be an advantage.
