About the Role
Job Spec
10 + Years of experience required / Architect level experience
Key Responsibilities
- Design and own PostgreSQL database architecture for high‑volume, high‑availability systems
- Develop and optimize complex SQL, PL/pgSQL, functions, triggers, and queries
- Perform advanced performance tuning, indexing, partitioning, and query optimization
- Implement and manage HA/DR solutions (replication, failover, backups, PITR)
- Lead database migrations (Oracle / MySQL / SQL Server → PostgreSQL)
- Ensure security, access control, compliance, and data governance
- Support cloud PostgreSQL platforms (AWS / Azure / GCP)
- Provide technical guidance and mentorship to teams
Mandatory Skills
- PostgreSQL internals, architecture, and performance tuning
- Advanced SQL & PL/pgSQL
- Replication, backup, restore & disaster recovery
- Linux/Unix environments
- Cloud‑managed PostgreSQL services
