About the role
Newson Films is growing, and we’re looking for a post-production specialist to grow with us. We’re a small, fully remote studio that punches well above its weight – and this is your chance to be a key part of that.
This isn’t a big corporate hire. We want someone who genuinely cares about the craft, thrives in a fast-moving creative environment, and can deliver polished work with real autonomy.
Who we work with
We produce content for some of the world’s biggest brands and most recognisable names – including Meta, Amazon, MoneySuperMarket, and many more. We also work heavily in sport, with clients like Queensberry Boxing, as well as celebrities and household names across entertainment and beyond. The work is varied, high profile, and genuinely exciting.
What you’ll be doing
→ Editing long-form and short-form video content with fast turnarounds
→ Creating motion graphics and 2D animations in After Effects
→ Colour grading and sound design to a high standard
→ Taking projects from initial concept through to final export
→ Joining client calls to manage amends and ensure client satisfaction
→ Keeping media assets organised and easy to access
What we’re looking for
→ Solid experience in video editing and post-production
→ Strong proficiency in Adobe Premiere Pro and After Effects – Illustrator, Photoshop and Lightroom a bonus
→ A sharp eye for editing, colour, and sound
→ Someone who stays up to date with post-production tools and trends
→ A confident self-starter who takes ownership of their work and thrives with autonomy
→ Graphic design skills are a bonus but not essential – experience in Illustrator or InDesign is always welcome
→ A portfolio of previous work is essential
Pay: R320 000,00 – R550 000,00 per year
