Position – Mechanic -Talisman Hire Constantia
Requirements:
High school diploma or equivalent. Mechanical qualification – Vocational training or associate qualification in mechanical technology or a related field. Excellent verbal and written communication skills. Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail. Valid Driver license essential
Duties:
Equipment and tools:
· To check all returned equipment and tools
· To service (preventative maintenance) all equipment when due
· To maintain all equipment with standard / minor repairs when required
· To tag equipment once serviced / repaired and ready for display / delivery
Workshop/ Container:
· To keep the workshop tidy and in order
· To manage and prioritise which repairs should be done first
Spares / Stock room:
· To keep a base of spares stock in the stockroom
· To monitor the base stock
· To advise the franchisee of base stock required on a weekly basis
· To ensure the safety of the spares stock from theft or unnecessary use
General:
· To report to the franchisee regularly with spares required
· To report any major repairs required to the franchisee
· To carry out duties effectively and efficiently
· To service machines on site if required
· To carry out orders/instructions as given by managers
