Job Title: Portfolio Manager (Property Management)
Location: Southern Suburbs, Cape Town
Salary: R35,000 per month
We are seeking an experienced and motivated Portfolio Manager to join our established property management company based in the Southern Suburbs of Cape Town.
The successful candidate will be responsible for managing a portfolio of sectional title and homeowners’ association schemes, ensuring excellent service delivery while building strong relationships with trustees, owners, and service providers.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage a portfolio of sectional title and homeowners’ association schemes.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with trustees, owners, and service providers.
- Attend trustee meetings, Annual General Meetings (AGMs), and Special General Meetings (SGMs), including after-hours meetings when required.
- Prepare meeting agendas, management reports, and meeting minutes.
- Ensure compliance with relevant legislation, governance requirements, and scheme rules.
- Coordinate maintenance projects and liaise with contractors and service providers.
- Review financial reports and assist trustees with budgeting and financial planning.
- Resolve owner and resident queries professionally and efficiently.
- Manage insurance claims, maintenance issues, and compliance matters.
- Ensure all portfolio administration is completed accurately and within required timeframes.
Minimum Requirements
- Previous experience as a Portfolio Manager in the property management industry.
- Sound knowledge of sectional title and homeowners’ association management.
- Excellent communication, negotiation, and relationship management skills.
- Strong organisational and time management abilities.
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple portfolios.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office.
- Valid driver’s licence and own reliable vehicle.
- Experience with property management software will be advantageous.
