Overview
Hire Resolve’s client is a leading player in the food and beverage industry in the Western Cape. They are seeking a talented Planning Specialist to join their team and help them optimize their production, inventory management, and distribution processes.
Responsibilities:
Develop and implement strategic plans for production, inventory management, and distribution in alignment with company goals and objectives
Analyze demand forecasting, inventory levels, and production capacities to optimize planning and scheduling
Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including production, procurement, sales, and logistics, to ensure smooth operations and effective supply chain management
Monitor and track key performance indicators (KPIs) to identify opportunities for improvement and implement corrective actions as needed
Stay updated on industry trends, market demands, and regulatory requirements to inform planning decisions
Develop and maintain relationships with suppliers, vendors, and other external partners to ensure seamless coordination and collaboration
Requirements:
Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Operations Management, Business Administration or a related field
3+ years of experience in planning, production, or supply chain management within the food and beverage industry
Professional experience in SAP/ R3 PP/PI
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to interpret data and make informed decisions
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams
Proficiency in planning and forecasting tools, such as ERP systems, Excel, and other relevant software
Knowledge of food safety regulations and quality standards in the food and beverage industry
