We are seeking a Physical Therapist who is passionate about using movement, rehabilitation, and fitness‑based activities as supportive tools within a mental‑health‑aligned environment.
Position Overview
The Physical Therapist provides trauma‑informed, client‑centered physical therapy sessions that support mobility, strength, pain reduction, and functional independence. This role blends traditional PT services with wellness‑based activities such as walking sessions, low‑impact workouts, stretching, sports‑based movement, and therapeutic exercise routines.
The ideal candidate is compassionate, adaptable, and comfortable working with clients who may have mental health needs, physical limitations, or barriers to consistent movement.
Key Responsibilities
Conduct comprehensive physical therapy assessments to determine mobility, strength, functional limitations, and individualized goals.
Develop personalized treatment plans that integrate therapeutic exercise, mobility training, stretching, and functional movement.
Lead beginner‑friendly fitness activities such as walking sessions, low‑impact workouts, sports‑based activities, and strength‑building routines.
Support clients in improving body awareness, confidence, emotional regulation, and stress reduction through movement.
Adapt sessions for clients with anxiety, trauma histories, chronic pain, or physical limitations.
Collaborate with mental health providers, fitness staff, and agency leadership to ensure cohesive, whole‑person care.
Provide education on injury prevention, posture, safe movement patterns, and home exercise routines.
Maintain accurate, professional documentation after each session.
Travel to community settings such as gyms, parks, recreation centers, or client‑preferred locations.
Pay: $40.00 – $55.00 per hour
