Responsibilities:
- Commute to Gunnison, Crested Butte Area frequently.
- Apply pesticides and other chemicals to control pests.
- Use protective clothing and equipment to avoid exposure to chemicals and pests.
- Communicate with clients to explain the nature of an infestation and recommend solutions.
- Follow all state and federal regulations concerning pest control.
- Follow proper disposal methods for chemicals and waste.
- Building and maintaining good customer relations
- Participating in continued company training and meetings

Position Overview
This position primarily services customers in the Gunnison and Crested Butte area. Technicians should expect to commute to that region approximately four days per week and work four 12-hour shifts. Because of the travel involved, applicants should be comfortable spending significant time on the road and working extended shifts.
This role is ideal for individuals who enjoy working independently, solving problems, helping customers, and being outdoors in a variety of environments.
Responsibilities
- Regularly commute to and service customers in the Gunnison and Crested Butte area
- Inspect properties and identify pest issues
- Apply pesticides and other pest management products according to label requirements and company procedures
- Use protective equipment and follow all safety protocols
- Communicate professionally with customers regarding pest issues and treatment recommendations
- Build and maintain strong customer relationships
- Follow all state and federal regulations concerning pest control
- Properly handle, store, and dispose of chemicals and waste materials
- Participate in company training, meetings, and continuing education programs
- Maintain accurate service records and documentation
Qualifications
- Must be at least 18 years old
- Valid driver’s license with a driving record that meets company standards
- Ability and willingness to work flexible hours
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Stable work history
- Ability to successfully complete initial technical training and licensing requirements
- Comfortable working around insects, rodents, and other pests
- Ability to read and understand product labels written in English
- Must pass a pre-employment drug screening
Physical Requirements
Candidates must be able to safely perform the following duties, with or without reasonable accommodation:
- Lift and carry up to 50 pounds
- Safely use ladders within manufacturer weight limits
- Access crawl spaces, attics, rooftops, and other confined areas
- Work indoors and outdoors in a variety of weather conditions
- Bend, kneel, climb, and perform physical labor throughout the workday
