Job Description:
A Perfusionist is a highly skilled, allied health professional who is qualified by academic and clinical training to operate complex, life-sustaining, extracorporeal circulation devices. These devices are typically applied to alleviate the suffering of patients with certain cardiovascular or pulmonary diseases. Duties include but are not limited to the safe performance and execution of the following Scope of Practice.
Requirements:
Required Qualifications:
o Required Education: Bachelors Degree
o Required Certifications and Licensures: Certified by the American Board of Cardiovascular Perfusion (ABCP) OR board eligible (certification required within eighteen (18) months or three (3) consecutive testing cycles of employment)
Preferred Qualifications:
o Masters Degree or Higher
