Title: People & Talent Specialist

Company: ICG Medical

Location: Nairobi County, Kenya

Job Title: People and Talent Specialist

Location: View Park Towers, Nairobi (Office-Based)

Employment Type: Full-Time

Working Hours: 08:30 – 17:30 (EAT), with flexibility required to support UK, US, and Australia time zones

About the Role: We are looking for a commercially minded People and Talent Specialist to join our team.

This is a recruitment-first role (90%), focused on delivering high-quality placements across international markets, alongside 10% responsibility in HR and people operations.

You will play a key role in hiring top talent efficiently, building strong processes, and supporting business growth — ensuring HR and recruitment decisions have a clear commercial impact.

Key Responsibilities:

Talent Acquisition (90%)

· Manage full-cycle recruitment: sourcing, screening, interviewing, and placing candidates

· Deliver against hiring targets across UK, US, and Australia markets

· Conduct advanced candidate sourcing using LinkedIn, job boards, Boolean search, and other creative strategies

· Execute market mapping and talent research to identify potential candidates and understand talent trends

· Conduct interviews and assess communication, experience, and cultural fit

· Coordinate interviews between candidates and clients

· Maintain accurate pipelines and candidate tracking

· Ensure a high-quality and professional candidate experience

· Make recruitment decisions with commercial impact in mind — cost, speed, and quality of hire

HR & People Operations (10%)

· Support onboarding and offboarding processes

· Develop, implement, and maintain HR policies and procedures

· Ensure compliance with employment laws and internal standards

· Manage employee attendance, sickness, and return-to-work processes

· Support employee wellbeing initiatives and engagement activities

· Act as a trusted advisor to employees on HR-related matters

· Maintain accurate employee records and documentation

· Collaborate with the global HR team on processes, reporting, and improvements

· Contribute to building structure, processes, and culture as the business grows

Requirements:

· 2+ years of combined experience in HR and Talent Acquisition

· Strong knowledge of HR practices, employment law, and policies

· Commercially minded — understands targets, KPIs, and business outcomes

· Experienced in Boolean search, talent mapping, and market research

· Proven ability to deliver hires in a fast-paced, target-driven environment

· Strong English communication skills (written and verbal)

· Highly organised, proactive, and detail-oriented

· Comfortable working across time zones when required

· Ability to balance compliance with speed and delivery

What We’re Looking For:

· A recruiter at heart who is motivated by hitting targets and making placements

· Strong understanding of HR laws, policies, and best practices — you know how to apply them, not just follow them

· Commercially aware — you understand how hiring and people decisions affect the bottom line

· Skilled in Boolean search and market mapping to find the best talent quickly

· Someone who can balance structure and speed — compliant but not slow

· High ownership mindset — you take responsibility for outcomes

· Comfortable acting as a trusted advisor to employees and leadership

· Resilient, reliable, and consistent in performance

What You’ll Get:

· Clear earning potential with placement-based incentives

· Exposure to international clients and global hiring standards

· Opportunity to grow into a broader HR / People leadership role as the business scales

· A chance to help build and shape the people function from the ground up
