We are looking for a Data Analyst & Analytics Engineer to support business reporting and analytics while contributing to the development of Presto’s modern data platform and ELT-based data warehouse.

Job Summary

The Payroll Accountant is responsible for managing and processing the organization's payroll accurately and on time while ensuring compliance with company policies, labor regulations, and applicable financial procedures. The role includes calculating salaries, allowances, overtime, deductions, and end-of-service benefits, maintaining payroll records, preparing payroll reports and journal entries, and coordinating with Human Resources and Finance to ensure the accuracy and confidentiality of employee payroll data.

Key Duties and Responsibilities

  • Prepare and review monthly payroll sheets, ensuring accuracy before approval and salary disbursement.
  • Calculate employee salaries, allowances, overtime, incentives, and deductions in accordance with company policies and approved regulations.
  • Calculate end-of-service benefits, leave entitlements, and other employee financial settlements in compliance with applicable laws and company policies.
  • Monitor social security contributions, tax deductions, and other statutory payroll obligations, while coordinating with the relevant authorities to ensure full regulatory compliance.
  • Reconcile payroll data with Human Resources records and verify the accuracy of employee information before payroll processing.
  • Maintain the confidentiality of payroll records and employees' financial information, ensuring that such information is disclosed only to authorized personnel.
  • Comply with the company's financial policies, internal controls, and regulatory requirements, and perform any other duties assigned by the direct manager.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, with advanced skills in Microsoft Excel.
  • Good knowledge of accounting principles and payroll preparation procedures.
  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to prioritize tasks and manage time effectively.
  • High attention to detail and accuracy, with the ability to review data and detect errors.
  • Effective communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively within a team and coordinate with different departments.
