Anko is looking for a full time, in house Womenswear Pattern Maker to join our growing team in Lagos. We are seeking a skilled professional with a strong understanding of garment construction, fit, and pattern development who can translate design concepts into production ready patterns while maintaining the highest standards of craftsmanship.
Scope of Work
The successful candidate will be responsible for developing accurate patterns for Anko’s womenswear collections, ensuring each design is technically sound, fits beautifully, and is ready for sampling and production.
Key Responsibilities
- Create first patterns from designers’ sketches and technical drawings
- Develop accurate production-ready patterns for women's wear garments
- Amend and refine patterns following fittings and design reviews
- Grade patterns across the required size range
- Work closely with the design and production teams throughout the product development process
- Ensure all patterns are production-ready and commercially viable
- Support sample development by resolving construction and fit issues
- Maintain organised digital and physical pattern records
Requirements
- Proven experience as a women's wear pattern maker
- Strong knowledge of pattern drafting, garment construction, and fit
- Ability to interpret design sketches and technical drawings accurately
- Experience working with both woven and knit fabrics
- close attention to detail and strong problem-solving skills
- Ability to work efficiently and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment
- Previous experience in contemporary or luxury fashion is preferred
