Our client in the commercial automotive industry is seeking an experienced Parts Manager to join their team based in Cape Town.
This is an excellent opportunity for a driven professional with strong parts knowledge and leadership ability to manage and develop a high-performing parts department.
Requirements:

5–8 years’ experience in a similar Parts Manager role within the commercial automotive industry

Strong parts and inventory management knowledge

Proven experience managing a team and maintaining strong team cohesion

Strong communication and leadership skills
-
Proactive and confident approach to problem solving
Responsibilities:

Manage and oversee the daily operations of the parts department

Achieve budgeted turnover, profit margins, and departmental targets
-
Manage parts inventory to maintain optimal and cost-effective stock levels

Handle parts-related stock takes, reporting, and communication
-
Build and maintain strong relationships with internal departments and customers
-
Liaise with national distribution teams regarding parts supply and stock levels

Resolve debtor queries and oversee collections where required
-
Implement departmental operating policies and procedures

Develop and implement parts marketing strategies to grow customer base and market share

Manage company assets and departmental staff
-
Ensure compliance with company policies, health and safety regulations, and operational standards

Maintain high levels of housekeeping, professionalism, and ethical conduct
-
Attend staff meetings and support training and development within the team
