We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Paralegal to support a fast-paced U.S.-based law firm. This role will play a critical part in case management, legal documentation, and administrative support, helping attorneys operate more efficiently and deliver exceptional client service.

The ideal candidate has strong experience in legal support, excellent communication skills, and the ability to work independently in a remote environment while aligning with U.S. business hours.

Key Responsibilities Case Management & Legal Support

  • Assist attorneys with managing active case files from intake through resolution
  • Draft, review, and format legal documents including pleadings, motions, contracts, and correspondence
  • Maintain and organize case files, ensuring all documentation is accurate and up to date
  • Track deadlines, court dates, and filing requirements to ensure compliance

Client & Communication Support

  • Serve as a point of contact for clients, providing updates and gathering necessary documentation
  • Conduct client intake and maintain detailed case notes in CRM or case management systems
  • Communicate with courts, opposing counsel, and third parties as needed

Legal Research & Documentation

  • Conduct legal research and summarize findings for attorneys
  • Prepare discovery documents, exhibits, and evidence packets
  • Assist with trial preparation, including organizing materials and timelines

Administrative & Operational Support

  • Manage calendars, schedule meetings, and coordinate appointments
  • Handle document filing (electronic and physical, where applicable)
  • Support billing processes, time tracking, and invoicing where required
  • Ensure compliance with firm procedures and legal standards

Qualifications Required

  • 2+ years of experience as a paralegal or legal assistant
  • Strong understanding of U.S. legal terminology, processes, and documentation
  • Experience working with case management software (e.g., Clio, MyCase, PracticePanther, or similar)
  • Excellent written and verbal English communication skills
  • High attention to detail and strong organizational skills
  • Ability to work U.S. business hours (EST/CST/PST depending on firm needs)

Preferred

  • Paralegal certification or legal studies background
  • Experience supporting U.S.-based law firms remotely
  • Familiarity with specific practice areas (e.g., personal injury, family law, immigration, civil litigation)
  • Experience with document management systems and e-filing
