Job Overview
We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Painter to join our dynamic construction and renovation team. In this role, you will be responsible for applying paint, stain, and coatings to a variety of surfaces, ensuring high-quality finishes that enhance the aesthetic and protective qualities of residential, commercial, and industrial spaces. Duties
- Prepare surfaces by cleaning, sanding, scraping, and patching to ensure optimal paint adhesion
- Apply primers, paints, stains, varnishes, and sealants using brushes, rollers, airless spray equipment, or other hand tools
- Perform surface preparation tasks such as caulking, plastering, and trim carpentry to achieve smooth finishes
- Use power tools and hand tools safely and effectively for surface preparation and finishing touches
- Execute specialized painting techniques including industrial painting, restoration projects, and renovation work on various substrates like masonry or concrete
- Install fixtures or hardware as needed during remodeling or maintenance projects
- Maintain a clean work environment by organizing tools and disposing of debris responsibly
- Clean driving record required.
Experience
- Proven experience in residential or commercial painting with a strong understanding of color theory and surface preparation techniques
- Hands-on experience with construction estimating and reading blueprints or schematics for accurate project planning
- Familiarity with construction site safety protocols and ability to work efficiently on active sites with construction site experience
- Knowledge of various painting methods including airless paint spraying and industrial coating applications
- Skills in carpentry (trim carpentry, frame carpentry), masonry, plastering, stucco application, welding, concrete finishing, masonry work, fixture installation, remodeling, maintenance tasks—demonstrating versatility across multiple trades
- Basic math skills for measurements and calculations necessary during project execution
- Handyman experience is a plus for supporting diverse project needs in renovation or restoration settings
