At Relationship Safety Alliance in Brainerd, MN, we are hiring a Domestic Violence Advocate to support survivors in our 24-hour emergency shelter. Every shift, you’ll help provide safety, support, and hope to individuals and families experiencing domestic violence.
What You’ll Do
- Provide crisis support, safety planning, and advocacy
- Be a calm, supportive presence during difficult moments
- Connect clients with resources and community services
- Help maintain a safe, welcoming shelter environment
Schedule & Pay
- Full-time: 35–40 hours per week
- Overnight shifts: 10:00 PM – 8:00 AM
- Sleep hours: 12:00 AM – 5:00 AM
- Awake hours: 10:00 PM – 12:00 AM & 5:00 AM – 8:00 AM
- Sleep pay: $11.41/hour
- Awake pay: $21.13/hour
- Every other weekend and holidays are required

What We’re Looking For
- Compassionate, reliable, and able to stay calm under pressure
- Strong communication and problem-solving skills
- Passion for helping others and supporting survivors
- Valid driver’s license and ability to pass a Minnesota DHS background check
- Experience in human services is a plus, but not required
