Progress Outage Monitor
An EME based in Pretoria East, Waltloo is seeking a dedicated and experienced professional to join their team.
Minimum Requirements:
- National Diploma or related qualification in Engineering, Project Management, or Maintenance Management
- Minimum 3 years’ experience in outage/shutdown monitoring within power generation or heavy industrial environments
- Proven experience in monitoring outage progress, reporting, and shutdown coordination
- Experience working on Eskom power stations or large industrial outages will be advantageous
- Proficient in SAP, Primavera P6, and Microsoft Office Suite
Key Responsibilities:
- Monitor daily outage and shutdown progress against approved schedules
- Track work completion, delays, and critical activities during outages
- Compile progress reports, dashboards, and status updates
- Coordinate with planners, supervisors, contractors, and stakeholders
- Ensure compliance with safety, quality, and outage requirements
Skills and Competencies:
- Strong monitoring and reporting skills
- Good communication and coordination abilities
- Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines
- Strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills
