Providence Life Limited, PCC is a leading insurance company with a global business license in Mauritius. We are constantly looking for dedicated professionals who are able to add value to our Operations team.

KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES

A starter position based in our Mauritius office. This role will report to the Team Leader – Operations and will be responsible for the efficient and accurate processing of operational tasks and servicing customer requests in line with agreed policies and procedures. The role holder will support initiatives that improve operational processes and efficiencies to deliver positive outcomes for customers and the business. The role requires successful collaboration with internal stakeholders and a strong focus on quality, accuracy, and compliance in day-to-day operations.

 SKILLS / COMPETENCIES

  • Efficient and accurate processing of servicing requests, applications, and queries in line with agreed policies, procedures, and service standards.
  • Apply logical thinking to day-to-day operational scenarios to support effective outcomes for customers and the business.
  • Support improvements to operational systems, processes, and policies in line with core business goals.
  • Ability to interact and collaborate effectively with internal stakeholders and customers.
  • Deliver on individual and team KPI’s, maintaining high standards of service delivery.
  • Maintain a high level of attention to detail and accuracy in all aspects of work.
  • Communicate effectively with colleagues and management across the business.
  • Provide regular progress updates to the line manager and escalate issues appropriately.
  • Demonstrate strong planning, time management, and organisational skills.
  • Ability to work to deadlines and under pressure while maintaining quality of output.
  • Team player with a positive can-do attitude, taking personal accountability and demonstrating a growth mindset.
  • Understand and demonstrate the values and culture of the organisation.
  • Maintain and actively develop product and technical knowledge, particularly in relation to AML and compliance obligations.
  • Ensure operational activities are performed in line with internal policies, regulatory requirements, and industry standards.

 KNOWLEDGE, EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE

  • Bachelor’s degree.
  • 1–2 years relevant experience in Customer Services within the global business, insurance, or financial services sector.
  • Working knowledge of relevant computer applications such as MS Office.
  • Product knowledge and an understanding of relevant legal and regulatory requirements applicable to the role.
  • Strong call handling abilities to manage inbound and outbound communications.
  • Ability to work under own initiative while taking responsibility for assigned daily tasks.
  • Ability to learn quickly and effectively in a regulated operational environment.
