The Operations Manager is responsible for planning, coordinating, and overseeing all maritime and logistics operations of the shipping line, ensuring operational efficiency, regulatory compliance, and high service quality standards. The role supports daily vessel operations, port coordination, route optimization, and operational performance management while ensuring compliance with international maritime regulations and safety standards. The Operations Manager plays a key role in managing operational disruptions, controlling costs, leading operational teams, and collaborating with internal and external stakeholders to ensure smooth and efficient shipping operations.
Job Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in operations management or related field
- Organization: Strong multitasking abilities to handle multiple shipping tasks.
- Communication: Effective communication skills for interacting with suppliers, couriers, and team members.
- Strong leadership and team building skills diverse teams effectively.
- Analytical and problem-solving abilities to identify inefficiencies and implement solution

Job Responsibilities
- Oversee daily vessel operations, port calls, and shipping schedules
- Coordinate with ports, agents, maritime authorities, and service providers
- Optimize routes, transit times, and resource utilization
- Ensure compliance with international maritime regulations (IMO, SAFETY, ENVIROMENTAL STANDARDS)
- Manage operational disruptions (delay, port congestion, technical issues)
- Monitor and control operational costs, identifying efficiency improvements
- Lead operational teams and collaborate with internal departments (sales, logistics, finance)
