Role Description The Operations Analyst is a full-time, remote role responsible for supporting investment and portfolio operations across Deyabo’s SME investments in East Africa. Day-to-day tasks include collecting and analyzing operational and financial data from portfolio companies, preparing reports and dashboards, and identifying trends, risks, and opportunities for performance improvement. The Operations Analyst will assist in evaluating potential investments by conducting market research, operational due diligence, and process assessments. The role involves working closely with internal stakeholders and portfolio company teams to document processes, recommend efficiencies, and support implementation of best practices and operational KPIs. The Operations Analyst will also contribute to internal projects, such as improving data systems, refining workflows, and supporting impact measurement and reporting.
Qualifications
- Strong analytical and quantitative skills, with experience using spreadsheets, BI tools, or basic data analysis software.
- Ability to conduct structured research, synthesize findings, and present clear, concise recommendations.
- Experience in operations, process improvement, or business analysis within investment, consulting, or SME environments is preferred.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to work effectively across cultures and remote teams.
- High level of organization, attention to detail, and the ability to manage multiple tasks and deadlines independently.
- Comfort working remotely with strong self-motivation, professional integrity, and a collaborative mindset.
- Familiarity with East African markets or emerging market SMEs is an advantage.
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Finance, Economics, Engineering, or a related field; advanced studies are a plus.
