Online Teaching Academy connects South African teachers with opportunities to work as online ESL teachers at Chinese institutions. We provide training in preparation for your demo lesson and we provide full administrative support throughout your contract. Ensuring that you focus on delivering great lessons to your students. Our clients value commitment and excellent learning experiences, so we are looking for people who not only want this to be a side hustle but a fun and fulfilling experience for themselves and their learners. We also offer free online Mandarin lessons for our teachers!
We are looking for responsible, reliable and available teachers that are not looking for a short time gig. We want you to share your love of e-learning with young learners and the English language in their formative years. These are some of the benefits to working for our team:
- Lesson plans provided
- 2-5 USD per lesson
- Lessons: 25 minutes
- Size: 1 on 1 classes
- Regular Students every week (stable monthly income)
We require the following from you:
- TEFL or TESOL – (We will help you acquire a teaching certificate needed)
- Available to teach during weekday SA times 9am-4pm or weekends 7am-3pm.
- Reliable Computer (Desktop or Laptop)
- Stable Internet access
- Clear and neutral accent
- Good communication skills
- Punctual and responsible work ethic
- A positive attitude.
Our academy is growing! And our recruitment process is simple: send us your resume and intro video >if eligible, interview > teacher training > teach a demo lesson to our client > if successful, sign and complete your contract > start teaching. We have a turn around time of 2 weeks from the time of application to contract signing.
