Job Description: Logistics and warehouse Administrator

Location: South Broom KZN

Position Type: Permanent

Salary: Market-related depending on experience

Accommodation: Non

Travel Allowance: Yes, but only when travelling to the warehouse. Not for daily travel to office at Southbroom.

Duties and Responsibilities:

Logistics management:

· Manage the logistics of the companies’ shipments.

· Review purchase orders and shipping documents to ensure accuracy.

· Liaise with freighting agents to obtain freighting quotations (research rates, routings, or modes of transport for shipment of products.)

· Prepare, coordinate & verify all freighting documentation, including Customer quotations, Invoices, Packing List and labels

· Provide freighting updates to exporters, consignees, or insurers.

· Ensure proper product quality control prior to shipping.

· Review purchase orders and shipping documents to ensure accuracy.

· Preparing & freighting samples for customers.

Administration:

· General office administration (document management, data capturing, record keeping)

· Respond to customer inquiries and refer customers to the proper channels.

· Assist with all company certifications and memberships including audits.

· Assist with updating documents for business processes and policies to maintain and strengthen internal controls.

· Assist with marketing and compilation of marketing material.

· Take meeting minutes.

· Book and co-ordinate travel arrangements for company Directors and GM including flights, visas, accommodation etc.

· Assist with preparation and coordination of company events/conferences.

· Processing of Debtors and Creditors/Loading of payments/Capturing on Pastel

Warehouse management:

· The warehouse located at Oribi Flats which is approximately 50km inland from Port Shepstone. Candidate will need to have their own means of transport on the days that they go to the warehouse. This is estimated to be twice a week and the candidate will be re-imbursed for travel costs.

· Stocktake of all Essential Oils and packaging (drums, bottles, pallets, tools, equipment, PPE) requirements for the distillery and warehouse

· Filtration, blending and batching of products.

· Drawing of samples, preparing samples for customers.

· Pack shipments according to packing Instructions and SOP (Ensure proper product quality control prior to shipping) including labelling and palletisation of shipments.

· Cleaning and preparation of all equipment, tools and drums.

· Ensure proper product quality control during all blending and prior to shipping

· General facility administration (document management, data capturing, record keeping).

· Accurate implement and maintaining of all facility certifications

(HSE, FSSC22000,Organic, FFL).

· Sourcing and ordering of required tools & equipment.

Desired Experience and Qualifications:

· Grade 12 certificate with Maths

· Excellent English written and verbal communication

· Computer Literate, excellent record keeping and paperwork ability.

· Competent in Microsoft Excel.

· Understanding the basics of logistics.

· At least 2 years’ experience in a similar role.

· Code, 8,10,14 driver’s licence.

· Ability to drive machinery would be advantages (Tractor/TLB).

· No onsite accommodation available.

Pay: R10 000,00 – R12 000,00 per month
