Role Description We are looking for a highly experienced Club Manager with a proven track record of successfully managing high-performing nightlife venues in Lagos. The ideal candidate understands the Lagos nightlife ecosystem, knows how to attract and retain high-value customers, increase premium bottle sales, manage staff effectively, and deliver exceptional guest experiences.
This role requires a dynamic leader with strong business acumen, excellent people management skills, and an extensive network within the hospitality and nightlife industry.
Key Responsibilities
- Oversee the day-to-day operations of the club.
- Drive revenue growth through strategic sales initiatives and premium bottle sales.
- Develop and execute promotions, themed events, and customer engagement strategies.
- Build and maintain relationships with VIP guests, influencers, promoters, and corporate clients.
- Lead, supervise, and motivate all operational staff including supervisors, bartenders, waitresses, cashiers, DJs, security personnel, and cleaners.
- Monitor daily sales performance and implement strategies to consistently exceed revenue targets.
- Ensure exceptional customer service and promptly resolve guest complaints.
- Manage reservations, VIP tables, and customer experiences.
- Coordinate entertainment schedules and special events.
- Maintain high standards of cleanliness, safety, and operational excellence.
- Work closely with the marketing team to improve visibility, customer acquisition, and event attendance.
- Monitor inventory and minimize wastage or stock losses.
- Ensure compliance with company policies, licensing requirements, and health and safety regulations.
- Prepare daily, weekly, and monthly operational and sales reports for management.
Requirements
- Minimum of 5 years' experience managing a reputable nightclub, lounge, or premium hospitality venue.
- Strong understanding of the Lagos nightlife and hospitality industry.
- Demonstrable history of increasing revenue, premium beverage sales, and customer traffic.
- Existing network of high-value clients, event promoters, DJs, entertainers, and nightlife stakeholders is a significant advantage.
- Excellent leadership and team management skills.
- Strong negotiation and interpersonal communication skills.
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, high-pressure environment.
- High level of professionalism, integrity, and accountability.
- Strong financial awareness with the ability to monitor sales, expenses, and profitability.
- Must be willing to work evenings, weekends, and public holidays.
Preferred Qualifications
- Degree or HND in Hospitality Management, Business Administration, Marketing, or a related field.
- Professional certifications in Hospitality Management are an added advantage.
