Job Overview: We are seeking a highly skilled and dedicated Network Engineer to join our remote team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for designing, implementing, and managing computer networks, and wireless communication services. This role requires expertise in developing secure, efficient, and reliable network infrastructures that enable seamless communication across the organization. As a Network Engineer, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the stability, security, and performance of network systems, facilitating smooth information exchange between employees and customers.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage and maintain computer networks, including mainframes, VPNs, routers, switches, and other physical and virtual hardware.
- Install, configure, and optimize network equipment to ensure seamless connectivity and high performance.
- Develop, implement, and manage network security measures, including firewalls, intrusion detection systems, and antivirus protection, to safeguard sensitive data and communications.
- Continuously monitor network performance, identifying and resolving potential bottlenecks, security threats, and inefficiencies to enhance overall system functionality.
- Troubleshoot, diagnose, and resolve complex networking issues, providing technical support and clear communication to employees and management.
- Implement and oversee disaster recovery plans and backup protocols to ensure business continuity in case of cyber threats or system failures.
- Maintain and update security policies, ensuring compliance with industry standards and best practices for data protection and network security.
- Research and stay up to date with the latest advancements in cybersecurity, networking technologies, and best practices to continuously improve network infrastructure.
- Collaborate with IT teams and other departments to assess and address network needs, ensuring scalability and reliability.
- Document network configurations, security protocols, and troubleshooting procedures to facilitate knowledge sharing and future upgrades.
Qualifications And Skills
- A minimum of 5 years of hands-on experience as a Network Engineer or related fields.
- Extensive knowledge of network services and protocols, including TCP/IP, OSPF, and EIGRP.
- Strong understanding and hands-on experience with networking systems such as LAN, firewalls, routers, switches, and printers.
- Proficiency in analyzing and evaluating network performance, identifying potential issues, and implementing effective solutions to maintain optimal network efficiency.
- Expertise in designing, implementing, and troubleshooting Wi-Fi networks and security infrastructure to ensure seamless connectivity and protection.
- Excellent time management skills, with the ability to prioritize and complete tasks efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
- Proven ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously, overseeing the process from design and planning to successful implementation.
