Network & Electronic Administrator Jobs in Sandton at The Narker Property Group
We are looking for a Network & Electronic Security Infrastructure Administrator to reconfigure our core office infrastructure. This is not a standard desktop support role; you will be responsible for a complete server room management workflow, maintaining a high-density corporate Wi-Fi network, and deploying physical security systems (CCTV and Access Control).
Our facility utilises strict cable and infrastructure management specifications (Data, Voice, Cameras, Links, and Access Points). We need a meticulous technician who values clean rack builds, systematic cable tagging, and rock-solid network uptime.
Key Responsibilities
- Network & Wi-Fi Architecture: Redesign, optimize, and maintain high-density wireless networks to support seamless roaming, hot-desking, and dynamic workspace demands.
- Server Room Infrastructure: Rack, patch, organize, and manage managed switches , routers, firewalls, and patch panels.
- CCTV & Physical Security: Install, configure, and troubleshoot IP-based camera systems (NVR setup, camera VLAN segmentation, and remote access monitoring).
- Access Control Systems: Deploy, program, and maintain electronic locks, biometric readers, and integration software.
- Standards Compliance: Adhere strictly to on-site color-coded cable and tracking specifications for all hardware links.
- Network Security: Configure core networking protocols, firewall routing policies, DHCP pools, and bandwidth management (QoS) for video/voice data.
- Disaster Recovery & System Reinitialisation: Wipe, format, and perform clean installations of server operating systems (Windows Server / Linux) and network device firmware.
Requirements & Qualifications
- Certifications (Highly Advantageous): CCNA, CompTIA Network+, or certified training in enterprise wireless systems ).
- Hardware Expertise: Hands-on experience with managed switches, structured cabling, crimping, trunking, and server room hardware deployment.
- Security System Expertise: Working knowledge of CCTV systems and physical access control low-voltage wiring (magnetic locks, relays, and backup power supplies/UPS).
- Personal Attributes: Exceptional attention to detail (as reflected in server rack neatness), clear documentation skills, and a proactive approach to problem-solving.

License/Certification:
- CCNA or equivalent (Preferred)
- Valid South African Driver’s License (Preferred)
Pay: R15 000,00 per month
