Job Title: Music Teacher / Music Assistant (Part-Time / Full-Time)
Location: Gauteng (travel to private schools required)

We are a growing music school in Gauteng offering after-school music lessons in guitar, piano, drums, and singing at private schools. We follow the Rockschool syllabus and focus on fun, structured, and progressive music education for learners of all ages.
Job Overview:
We are looking for a passionate and reliable music teacher/assistant to join our team. The role involves teaching individual and/or group lessons at schools, helping students develop practical skills, and supporting performances and exams.
Responsibilities:
- Teach music lessons (guitar, piano, drums, or singing depending on your skillset)
- Follow structured lesson plans and the Rockschool syllabus
- Work with students of different ages and skill levels
- Travel to assigned schools for after-school lessons
- Prepare students for performances and exams
- Maintain a positive, professional learning environment
- Communicate with the music school owner regarding student progress
Requirements:
- Strong ability in at least one instrument (guitar, piano, drums, or vocals)
- Previous teaching experience (preferred but not essential)
- Passion for working with children and teenagers
- Reliable transport to travel between schools
- Good communication and organisational skills
- Professional and punctual attitude
Bonus (Advantage):
- Rockschool or similar music exam experience
- Ability to teach multiple instruments
- Experience in school-based teaching
