Role Description
This is a full-time, on-site role for a Ministry of Health Liaison Officer located in Freetown. The MOH Liaison Officer will serve as a vital link between The ARC and the Ministry of Health. Responsibilities include coordinating activities with government health entities, facilitating communication and collaboration, supporting the adoption of research insights into health policies, and providing training to enhance capacity. The role also involves monitoring and evaluating the impact of initiatives and ensuring alignment with national health priorities.
Qualifications
- Strong Interpersonal Skills and effective Customer Service capabilities to build and maintain productive relationships with stakeholders.
- Proficient Analytical Skills to assess research findings and their application in policy development.
- Exceptional Communication skills, both verbal and written, to foster clear and respectful dialogue with partners.
- Experience or aptitude in providing training to enhance organizational knowledge and capabilities.
- Ability to work collaboratively with government institutions and health partners.
- Bachelor’s degree in Public Health, Health Policy, Social Sciences, or a related field; advanced degree preferred.
- Demonstrated experience in health systems, research translation, or policy development is an advantage.
