📍 Position: Fabric Merchandiser

We are looking for an experienced Fabric Merchandiser with a strong background in denim fabrics to support fabric development, supplier collaboration, and seasonal sourcing activities while ensuring the highest standards of quality, performance, and on-time delivery.

Key Responsibilities

  • Collaborate with textile mills to develop new fabric concepts in line with product development requirements.
  • Manage fabric development and cross-sourcing activities.
  • Review, adjust, and approve fabric specifications, testing protocols, and performance requirements.
  • Lead negotiations on seasonal fabric costing, minimum order quantities (MOQ), and lead times.
  • Identify opportunities for fabric innovation and cost optimization.
  • Ensure timely completion of fabric sampling and bulk approvals.
  • Monitor supplier capacity planning and delivery performance.
  • Oversee bulk fabric testing and quality assurance activities.
  • Troubleshoot fabric-related technical issues and coordinate solutions.
  • Act as the key liaison between Product Development, Quality, and suppliers on all fabric-related matters.
  • Manage excess fabric planning and utilization.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Textile Engineering or a related discipline.
  • 4–6 years of experience in denim fabric merchandising or fabric development.
  • Previous experience in a denim mill is mandatory.
  • Strong technical knowledge of woven fabrics, particularly denim.
  • Hands-on experience handling fabric testing, technical troubleshooting, and quality issues.
  • Solid understanding of fabric finishes, wet and dry processes, chemical applications, and formulation development.
  • Ability to transfer development formulations into production while ensuring compliance with brand quality standards.
  • Excellent communication, coordination, and stakeholder management skills.
  • Ability to work collaboratively with internal teams and external suppliers in a fast-paced environment.
