WILCAH is a youth-led nonprofit based in Dar es Salaam, Tanzania, advancing mental health and wellbeing among young people through evidence-based, community-driven programs. Our flagship initiative, Project Thabiti, delivers resilience and mental health education in secondary schools across the country.
Role Description
The Member of the Board of Advisors will provide strategic guidance and expertise to support WILCAH’s vision and mission. Responsibilities include contributing to decision-making processes, advising on program initiatives, identifying funding opportunities, and strengthening organizational strategies. The individual will also offer insights from their professional expertise and assist in building networks and partnerships.

Qualifications
- At least 15 years of experience in your field
- Proficiency in Finance and Fundraising to secure and manage financial resources effectively.
- Strong Analytical Skills and Research abilities for data-driven decision-making and strategic planning.
- Background in public health, mental health, law, finance, policy, communications, corporate leadership, or data and digital systems.
- Keen understanding of nonprofit and/or health-related sectors is advantageous.
- Strong communication, leadership, and team collaboration skills.
- Willingness to commit 4–6 hours per quarter
- Available for quarterly meetings in Dar es Salaam or virtually
