The Medical Warehouse & Supply Chain Control Manager is responsible for the effective management, control, and security of medical inventory within the warehouse environment. The role ensures that medical supplies, pharmaceuticals, and equipment are accurately measured, monitored, and distributed in accordance with regulatory standards, organizational policies, and operational requirements.

This position combines supply chain management, inventory governance, policy implementation, and security oversight to ensure the integrity, availability, and accountability of all medical stock while maintaining a controlled and secure warehouse environment.

Key Responsibilities

Inventory Management & Control

Implement and manage systems for accurate inventory tracking, monitoring, and reporting of all medical supplies and equipment.

Conduct regular stock counts, cycle counts, and audits to ensure inventory accuracy and prevent loss or discrepancies.

Monitor stock levels, expiry dates, batch numbers, and storage conditions to maintain compliance with healthcare regulations.

Ensure proper stock rotation (FIFO/FEFO) to minimize wastage and expiry.

Identify and investigate inventory discrepancies, losses, or irregularities and implement corrective actions.

Supply Chain Coordination

Manage the receiving, storage, distribution, and dispatch of medical supplies.

Coordinate with procurement and logistics teams to ensure timely replenishment and distribution of critical medical inventory.

Optimize warehouse operations to improve efficiency, accuracy, and turnaround times.

Maintain proper documentation and traceability of all inventory movements.

Policy Development & Compliance

Develop, implement, and enforce warehouse management policies, procedures, and control measures.

Ensure compliance with healthcare, pharmaceutical, and regulatory standards applicable to medical supply storage and distribution.

Establish standard operating procedures (SOPs) for stock handling, storage, and inventory control.

Monitor adherence to internal governance and risk management frameworks.

Risk Management & Loss Prevention

Implement inventory control measures to mitigate theft, loss, and mismanagement of medical supplies.

Conduct risk assessments relating to warehouse operations and stock handling.

Develop and implement loss prevention strategies and accountability systems.

Investigate irregular stock movements or potential breaches of procedure.

Security Oversight & Site Presence

Maintain a visible security presence within the warehouse environment to deter unauthorized access or misconduct.

Ensure strict access control procedures for warehouse areas containing sensitive or high-value medical supplies.

Work closely with security personnel and management to maintain a safe and controlled operational environment.

Monitor compliance with health, safety, and security protocols on site.

Reporting & Performance Monitoring

Produce regular inventory reports, variance reports, and operational updates for management.

Track key performance indicators such as inventory accuracy, stock availability, and loss prevention metrics.

Provide recommendations to improve warehouse controls, operational efficiency, and risk mitigation.

Qualifications & Experience

Diploma or Degree in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, Warehouse Management would be advantageous

Minimum 3–5 years of experience in a warehouse or supply chain operations.

Experience in inventory control, stock auditing, and warehouse governance.

Experience in security, risk management, or loss prevention is advantageous.
