Role Description This is a full-time, on-site Medical Scribe role based in Cairo, Egypt. The Medical Scribe will work closely with healthcare professionals to document patient encounters in real time, including medical histories, physical examinations, assessments, and treatment plans. Daily responsibilities include accurately transcribing physician notes, updating electronic medical records, capturing relevant diagnostic and procedural information, and ensuring documentation meets regulatory and organizational standards. The role involves clarifying information with providers when necessary, maintaining confidentiality of patient data, and supporting clinical workflows to improve efficiency and quality of care. The Medical Scribe may also assist with basic administrative tasks related to documentation, coordination of patient records, and communication within the care team.
Qualifications
- Ability to perform accurate and efficient scribe functions, including real-time documentation of patient encounters and medical notes.
- Strong knowledge of medical terminology and human anatomy to effectively understand and record clinical information.
- Background in medical assisting or similar clinical support role, with familiarity in healthcare processes and patient care workflows.
- Effective communication skills, including clear written and verbal communication with healthcare providers and team members.
- High attention to detail, strong organizational skills, and the ability to manage multiple patient records without compromising accuracy.
- Comfort with electronic medical record systems and basic computer applications; ability to learn new software quickly.
- Commitment to patient confidentiality and adherence to relevant privacy and data protection regulations.
- Relevant education in a healthcare-related field (e.g., nursing, pre-med, medical assisting, or health sciences) preferred.
- Experience in a clinical or healthcare documentation setting is an advantage, but candidates with strong learning aptitude will be considered.
- Ability to work on-site in Cairo, Egypt, with flexibility to support clinical schedules and teamwork in a fast-paced environment.
