Job Description:
We are seeking a highly organized and friendly Medical Receptionist to join our team. As the first point of contact for our patients, you will play a crucial role in ensuring a positive experience for everyone who visits our facility. Responsibilities:
– Greet and welcome patients as they arrive at the facility – Answer phone calls and schedule appointments – Verify patient information and insurance coverage – Collect and process payments – Maintain patient records and update information as needed – Coordinate with medical staff to ensure smooth patient flow – Handle patient inquiries and provide accurate information – Maintain a clean and organized reception area – Follow all company policies and procedures Requirements:
– High school diploma or equivalent – Previous experience as a medical receptionist or in a similar role – Knowledge of medical terminology and procedures – Excellent communication and customer service skills – Ability to multitask and prioritize tasks effectively – Proficient in MS Office and electronic medical records systems – Strong attention to detail and accuracy – Ability to work well in a team environment – Willingness to learn and adapt to new processes and procedures
Working Conditions:
This is a full-time, permanent position based in Durban, South Africa. The working hours are Monday to Friday, 9am-5pm. Occasional evening or weekend shifts may be required.
