Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and energetic Medical Assistant to join our dynamic healthcare team. In this vital role, you will provide exceptional patient care and support clinical operations:

Duties
- Assist healthcare providers with patient intake, including collecting medical histories and documenting symptoms accurately.
- Measure vital signs such as blood pressure, temperature, pulse, and respiration to monitor patient health status.
- Lab specimen collection and blood draw.
- Prepare examination rooms with necessary supplies and sterilize equipment to maintain a safe clinical environment.
- Support healthcare providers with procedures and IV therapy as necessary
- Manage electronic health record (EHR) systems efficiently by documenting patient encounters
- Facilitate patient flow through scheduling appointments, confirming appointments, and providing pre-visit instructions.
- Provide exceptional patient service by answering questions, offering reassurance, and ensuring comfort during visits.
Qualifications
- Two years experience working as Medical Assistant in a similar setting.
- Knowledge of physiology, anatomy, medical terminology, ICD coding, and medication administration procedures.
- Reception Experience with insurance verification/Availity is a plus
- Familiarity with EHR systems and proficiency in managing medical documentation accurately.
- Certification in Basic Life Support (BLS)
- Ability to perform clinical tasks including taking vital signs and triage
